Hospitalization data since July 15, 2020, is from the Department of Health and Human Services TeleTracking and HHS Protect hospital reporting systems. It updates once daily by early afternoon but should be considered provisional until updated with weekly historical HHS data. Hospitalization data before July 15, 2020, was provided type 1 diabetes state health departments.

Data on vaccination doses administered is from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The data includes vaccinations administered by the Defense Department, Veterans Health Administration, Indian Health Service and Bureau of Prisons type 1 diabetes to the state in which they were given.

Vaccination totals for D. Testing data is from HHS. Testing data from the past three days is especially subject to upward revision, as reporting may be incomplete. The seven-day rolling average uses the past seven days of new type 1 diabetes reported cases or deaths to calculate a daily average, starting diabdtes the most recent full day of data. These spikes are displayed on the daily charts but not included in rolling seven-day averages.

This has also resulted in a one-day spike of reported cases on Oct.
